Fishing license, fly rods, spinning reels, tackle and flies, and a cooler with ice and water.  If you prefer to use your own equipment, it's never a problem.  Just let me know so I can make sure you have the appropriate gear for your trip.  

Trips cancelled 2 weeks or more prior to charter date will receive a full refund.  Cancelations made due to weather will also receive a full refund or I can apply the deposit to a different day if available.  Weather cancelations are at the sole discretion of the captain..

Good polarized sunglasses are a must for sight fishing.  A hat with a dark brim and lightweight breathable clothing to keep you comfortable on hot days.  Sunscreen (not spray) and any food, snacks, and drinks you want during the day.  Shoes or sandals with non marking soles (no black soles).  A lightweight rain jacket is also a good idea in the event of a pop up shower.

My charters are catch and release.  

Snook, redfish, speckled trout, and tarpon are the primary species we will look for and if you want to target a specific species, just let me know.  Jacks, sheepshead, flounder, and snapper are some of the other species that are often encountered on the flats or near the mangroves.        

I fish a wide variety of flats and backcountry areas around Charlotte Harbor and pick the spots based on weather conditions, tides, and time of the year.
